Here it is. My first experience at putting my decorating out there for the masses- a Tablescape fundraiser for a local nonprofit. I think it turned out pretty good! But I promised transparency so here it is:
What this pic doesn’t show:
The look in my eyes and the knot in my stomach when I walked in the room this morning to finish my set up. Every other Tablescape was at least 3 feet taller than mine. No one else’s was set up when I left yesterday. 😔 Immediately the negative thoughts start coming- I shouldn’t be here, mine isn’t good enough. I’m competing and I literally can’t measure up- by at least 3 ft!! 😫 But at this point, there’s nothing I can do. I just have to go with it.
Then my sweet friend @janetwill3lovinhillcountry showed up to the event. And she reminded me that God shows up in the ordinary and simple. That He doesn’t need big and grand to be pleased with us. And if we only look for Him in the big and grand we will miss His presence.
And she was right. Today I experienced His blessings through the people who showed up to support me and the friends who checked in to see how it went. @tlybarger9 most supportive hubby ever! And @texacalijess for staying until the end to help me tear down so I could get a nap in today. ❤️
My theme: “Meet Me in Montana” a country song from the 80s. Yes I’m cheesy and ❤️old country music. 🎤 Won’t you meet me in Montana. I wanna see the mountains in your eyes. I’ve had all of this life I can handle. Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.🎤 Yes please! 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ The simplicity of the slower paced life appeals to me greatly.
I matched my Tablescape to my personality. No more doubting that I am exactly who God created me to be. ❤️
